Chimo (CHEE-mo) was fabled to be an Inuit greeting. When two people would meet one would say “Chimo” and rub their chest, meaning “Are you friendly”. If the gesture is returned it means “Yes, I’m friendly”. In 1967 the Canadian government tried to make Chimo a national greeting, much like Hawaii’s “Aloha”. Unfortunately, Chimo never caught on.

Chimo! Buttons was formed to cater to the promotional needs of bands, businesses and charitites in Toronto and the surrounding area. We strive to provide quality products at reasonable prices.

Who are we exactly? Well, we’re Shaun and Heather. One a musician, the other a photographer, artist and designer. We have come to realize that promoting bands and businesses is hard, but must be done. Let us help!

Thanks for checking us out!
